The journey so far! Many of you have questioned how did I get into the game company I love, and been wanting the opportunity. Here’s the story on how I got into this. Unlike other teenagers, I was a complete freak when I was young – I started playing video games when I was 8 and got into the Internet world at 15 when my parents finally bought me a cheap computer. Besides browsing thousands of porn on the Internet, I found web designing interesting and had a self taught and got some advice from online friends. I failed almost all of my subjects in schools, feeling completely useless and hopeless. When I was 18, I decided to get involved into Computer Science course in college. I did it okay and I constructed a site called KOEI Warriors as my final year project with PHP language in 2005 so it’s born since then.

My friends really got me into Dynasty Warriors 3. I found the map confusing at first but enjoyed the music and everything at last. I continued playing this game franchise and I spent most of the time on kongming.net and yueying.net at that time browsing artwork, realized on how rare Dynasty Warriors fansites were, so decided to construct one myself as the final year project for my college. KOEI Warriors got famous, with support and love, so we maintained it with daily updates and fresh ideas and kept going with passion and connected with fans all around the world. The site surprisingly got around 30 million hits of support throughout the year! This site has become very essential for KOEI and fans since then.

Then, I left my hometown and came to England to further my study. Didn’t enjoy the study part of it, so was being a geek staying at home maintaining the website. Until few months after, KOEI UK found this out (yeah when Will Curley was browsing some artwork for his report), we started communicating with each other, attending the expos, involving in cosplay activities until I learned how most things operated. After I graduated, I became a part time freelancer for them constructing some official sites for their games, Bladestorm, Samurai Warriors 2, Dynasty Warriors 6, Warriors Orochi and etc. I was laid off of my full time job (made redundant) from being a web developer, then with loads of difficulties, I got into KOEI officially. (P/S: I have a fucking wicked boss, that’s why!)

I’ve learned loads of things. Since I love this company and the games with passion so the willingness to make things better is strong. I enjoy the creative design part, organizing event shows, connecting with fans and cosplayers and many more. Getting into gaming industry is fun and lucky, sometimes it’s harsh when you know how things work inside the organization, but generally, it’s cool. It’s really lucky I must say! Oh, KOEI had merged with TECMO and became TECMO KOEI in oversea, KOEI TECMO in Asia. That’s another cool things because TECMO is one of my favourite game companies as well.

I have more than a hundred friends to thank throughout this journey. I didn’t list anyone here (as you already know who you are) because I don’t feel good to miss out anyone in the hundred people list. Thanks for making this whole thing awesome! “Have faith in everything you are doing. Keep going. Never give up. You can make history!” *wink* <– FUCK, FEEL LIKE A HYPOCRITE BY SAYING THAT. But what I want to say is, keep going, connect with people, do what you think it's right, who knows it, right?
