Hi guys, as you all have noticed, I haven’t updated this blog since April. So here’s the story. Back in that time, we have been told that we (TKE) are going to publish Dead or Alive 5 in Europe (rather than SEGA), but as you know, we’re such a small team here and this is a big title, I put 100% of my effort into this project to push as best as I can. Here’s the quick update.
May 2012

- We started our Dead or Alive 5 event in London MCM Expo. It was my very first experience to get involved in the fighting community and organized the tournament with a team of new people. I can still remember the day I met and made friends with Unequalled Media at the HMV Gamerbase to find the opportunity to work with them, to learn and gain more knowledge. Then, I started to design the booth, the wall and the goodies for event to start to build this new community. London MCM Expo was a huge success and I have made a lot of new friends, learned a lot from many amazing people too.

June 2012
- I made a lot of new friends during the event so I took this month to connect with them on social network to talk to them on how we can improve the game and how we can build this new community in an efficient way. This was also the month we started to spread “I’m a Fighter” tagline across the Internet. I always believe we’re all Fighters in the way we fight (for our dreams) and to go through our daily lives. As a community leader myself, I have my dreams too, even so, a lot of people see me as a role model. To be honest, this community has inspired me a lot and I want to reach to the level (of being a strong individual) to be able to inspire them also, so I used this month to start developing myself as a Fighter as well (not just this month, or the journey, but a lifetime mission “as a Fighter” to be better and better.)

(As you can see, that was me back in when I was a web developer to create KOEI Warriors fansite, then I got hired, left my country and up until where I am today.)

July 2012

- I got a chance to attend to the Japan Expo to meet my French Fighters there for Dead or Alive 5. The event in France was a great success, I’ve met new people also met our distributors to understand the way they work. This has also brought our relationship to a closer level as well.

August 2012
- August has been the busiest month. I got our Insert Coin project approved (after 4-5 months working on it with Marilena – she’s the one who worked on it mainly). It was a bit of the delay but it was finally approved, that made me really happy. I went to Germany for Gamescom and have met a lot of great people there. I’ve been on the tour with Team Ninja this month as well from Germany to UK this month.
We also organized the IGN Fist Look on Dead or Alive 5 event for our community – as our focus on the event wasn’t too “corporated” but to let the players to enjoy the game, get in touch with the team directly and the event turned out to be the best event we have done so far. It was a blast! I’m very glad and thankful to be able to work with this current team that I have; also thanks to the IGN!

September 2012

- I’ve been sent to Japan for Team Ninja Night and Tokyo Game Show. It was a great trip since I have been surrounded by the awesome gang. A week after, I came back and had a photoshoot session with Insert Coin for their DOA5 line-ups, then I went straight to Eurogamer Expo for the game launch. Again, it was really great; and again, it’s all down to the lovely community that made it to such a level!

October 2012

- The DOATEC tees and Hitomi hoodies are available to purchase. And this month, I’ll be focusing on new titles such as Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper and Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires. I’ll also attend to London MCM Expo, see you there!

I’m quite happy not just because I have managed to work with amazing people and achieved so many things in just few months, I’m happy because I have managed to keep my health in a very good level during restless marathon – the discipline that I have committed to has shown me a good result.
By the way, I apologize about the lack of updates on this blog, sorry for being really busy in the past few months; I’ve been fighting for you guys but I’ve also realized I need to write something here to give some assurance to let you know that I’m still here. I’ll make sure to write more and to keep you updated. If you want to contact me instantly, I’m on Twitter @inspchin – I’ll listen and try my best to see what I can do, so have no worries to shoot more questions and requests. Much love!
