OK. This is a community project and I had such a great fun yesterday to have a photoshoot session with my friends at the Big Ben (Westminster, London) yesterday! Thanks to @jay10long for building up his muscles for me and @ahfong87 for making the amazing costume set and of course myself for being the man behind these shots!
We know there are 3 phases for Ninja Gaiden 3. First phase “SWORD” was announced back in E3 2011, then “CONSEQUENCE” at the TGS 2011, and “UNMASK” at our event in San Francisco in December 2011. So the photoshoot session was mainly focusing on these phrases and it’s based in London stage.
These are the shots I’ve picked and edited and I hope you like them.
Apart from that, I really had such a great fun and had a very productive day yesterday. Just want to say thanks to everyone again (and of course the tourists as I remember some of them were shouting “Ninja Gaiden” when they walked across the street) – what a great feeling!
Ninja Gaiden 3 is coming out on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America (March 20) and Europe (March 23). For more information, please visit the official site @ http://bit.ly/ninjagaiden3 – We have finalized our final trailer, we’ll launch it this week as well!
Today I applied 5 main keywords to my community to remind and give myself a practice how to handle it. I had a think I came out with 5 relevant words, which are:
Listen – To listen to you, your voice (not necessary of implementing it 100%) but know the exact situation from you, so your voice is always important in our community. I absorb it as much as I can.
Respond – To give you response if necessary. Although I have been asked a hundred times about some of the games not getting “localized”, I’ve responded with the best I can but sadly some users they don’t have the value of listening to the situation.
Involve – To get involved into the community 24/7, join the discussion and share the opinion and make sure the community has the same message that has been given in and out.
Discover – To explore and understand the feelings from both users (“we want this”) and the company (“we can’t do this”) and to build the bridge to connect both parties.
Execute – To give a green light if the idea and plan is good, acceptable and giving the advantage to the community. For example, our #TKfamily hash tag by @NotMarki.
As a community person myself, I don’t like to use the word “fans” to the audience because the social network is all about the connection, friends and family. That’s why I don’t use “fans” word much (except I used it once on my previous Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 @ Japan Expo video and I didn’t feel good after using that word). I also hope to be everyone’s friend rather than that community “manager” myself because I think the “manager” word doesn’t need to be over-used on me as in social network community, everyone is equally appreciated, with freedom of speech, so there’s no first class or economy class on what you can or can’t express from yourself. Honesty.
Recently, I’ve been featured on MCV talking about “Care In The Community” – Here are some scans from the quotes I’ve made.
I think the most important thing is to “humanize” the network, because if you’re talking and acting like a bot these days, it’s not going to help, like people said, bots are everywhere, and it’s hard to “trust” them with those links they provided. I think the whole social network experience has changed our Internet behavior too.
Thanks to my boss @Lead_wotawaster for seeing the light and digging it out from me, having faith in me and providing me the wings to fly. I think from a computer nerd (myself) that never talked to many people few years ago, I’ve actually learned and gained a lot in these 3 years after I joined the company officially.
How Did You Get Into TECMO KOEI!?
I wrote an article for KOEI Warriors due to the 6th anniversary. I hope you have time reading this article as it’s the 6 years journey of KOEI Warriors to see how it’s been through.

Closing Comment: So what’s the next plan for the community? No one knows as things are changing very quickly these days, it all depends how genuine your move is – if you’re smart enough, you can react and implement it quick, you get it! I hope there are more adventures coming to me so I’m able to explore, learn and apply them into the community and my life. I think this is the end of my glory and now I’m started to struggle thinking of what’s the next best thing I could do for the community and myself too. You see, it’s Friday night and my brain still hasn’t stopped yet.
Oh, and this Sunday (July 10, 2011), I’ll be at London Film and Comic Con (LFCC) to be one of judges for the cosplay masquerade and skit. Since it’s the masquerade and skit, the main thing I’d judge is the performance and the interaction between you and the audience, so my advice would be to be brave taking your mask off and transform into what you’re wearing to impress your audience, then you’re already the winner! I’ll be sure to tweet something with my @inspchin account with the updates.
UPDATE: It’s 2011, not 2010. I’ve told you I never want to get old!
I’ve been asked to calm down many times. Okay, now I’ve calmed down and it’s time to give you the update from the London MCM Expo experience that I’ve experienced. First of all, thanks to everyone who came and visited us at the booth, really happy to see you guys had a good time like we had as well! The games we were showing this time at the expo – Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 (PS3 / Xbox 360), Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer (PS3 with Move / Xbox 360 with Kinect / Wii), Dead or Alive Dimensions (3DS) – this game was in Nintendo booth, and Bleach: Soul Resurrección (PS3) – this game is published by NIS America.
FRIDAY’S HIGHLIGHT – New Friends, New Surprise!
I arrived to the expo on Friday around 2PM and I was taking care on the booth with my colleagues. Quite a lot of people popped up and said hello to me this time, they’re new and from my Facebook and Twitter, so it’s my first time to actually have that many Twitter followers to come and said hello, it’s very heart warming. Besides that, my friends Dan, Chris and Ben came out with a scary idea of Chin cosplay with the Chin mask on, that did shock me a little bit, but I really love it, made it laugh a lot – thanks guys! It wasn’t that crowded on Friday, nothing much was going on, so at night I was hanging with @Kpopkimi‘s family outside the ExCeL with some dance party, that was really good. I’ve also met @StealthBuda, @XVIFox, @kiradawg, @kurandostrife and a lot of my tweeps, damn awesome!

SATURDAY’S HIGHLIGHT #1 – Old Friends, More Cosplayers!
There are a lot of people that I only get a chance to meet them once or twice in a year. Most of them were coming on Saturday and this is definitely one of the highlights. I’ve met my old friends and cosplayers, as well as some of new people from the game industry as well, and a lot of my Twitter friends (@RidentFFXI especially) this time, came out and we had a lot of talks about @ladygaga while doing the horse racing (Champion Jockey), it’s great! On cosplay wise, this time we had the characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series as well as Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll. Thank you for the amazing costume!
The team (@we_love_Jake, @angelaiko and @KOEIWARROR) went on the stage to perform (photo credit goes to @nert) – Also a big thanks to @Kacela_Lee for organizing the cosplay meet, James for the cookies and support, and everyone for working so hard on the costumes (as you know TECMO KOEI game costumes aren’t easy to make) – thanks guys, really appreciated!
SATURDAY’S HIGHLIGHT #2 – Gundam On Stage, Whip On Jockey!
I was on the GameSpot stage playing Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 while my boss, @Lead_wotawaster was there explaining and answering the Q&A – thanks for saving my ass (some questions from the fans are unbelievably hard to answer) – thank you so much! Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 was also playable at our booth with 9 available MS (Mobile Suits), people enjoyed it and they loved the cel-shaded graphics and new MS, many asked about the DLC schedule, will definitely keep you updated with I have it with me.
Now, the horse whipping! I must say my arms and back have gone really sore after demoing Champion Jockey. People enjoyed playing it as I did, but it seems like I was the only one who managed to hit someone in the face while I was whipping my horse (video above) – I shall be more careful next time, thanks to @benbateman and @Phoenix_b for the laugh!

SUNDAY HIGHLIGHT – Items Sold Out, It’s Dinner Time!
Although most of the items have been sold out and our sales desk wasn’t as busy as before but the whole booth was still really packed. We didn’t have that much staff members on Sunday so by splitting the task, everyone was still very busy looking after the booth. I didn’t manage to take as much pictures on Sunday because it was busy (actually didn’t manage to take as much pictures or videos as I used to, that’s because there was too much things going on, expo was totally packed) – it’s a good thing! I also hope I didn’t give @bluehero an heart attack with my craziness! In the evening, after we finished to pack down the booth, we went to Dan and Rach‘s engagement dinner and we all had a great time. Now, let’s save the best ones at the last – A big thank you to @Gischie, @JasSMarwaha, @sheepyhair, @JoeJamesGoodwin, @MrDman916, Cal, Eri, and the guys (those I didn’t mention in the posts above) for the support over the weekend!
This is the video that I recorded (just some bits of clips) – take it easy, it’s all about fun and that’s what an expo is all about. God, I ain’t that bad in shuffling. I’ll be back very soon for a proper blog post with our game updates, feel free to tweet me @inspchin anytime! At last… I’ve made it to the paper with the Goku wig that @Kiradawg put on me, playing Champion Jockey. Fucking amazing!
