Blogging in the weekend, yes! I was having a dinner with my sexy friends on Twitter, @Pheonix_b (thanks for the amazing dinner!), @LauraSindall, @ChrisVideoGamer, @benbateman and @AnusMcphanus (they’re from Destructoid.com, VideoGamer.com, Codemasters.co.uk and LauraSindall.com), and we had a go on Dance Central on Kinect. I know I’m quite slow in this but this game really amazed me. Always hearing Laura talk about this game and now I understand why.
The game itself has a great visual and its informative with all the dance move you have to follow, it’s not really hard – I tried it for the first time and I managed to pick it up straight away (well I was on the Easy mode). It is indeed fun with those dance moves, I think Kinect really does a great job on tracking the movements. It feels really fun no matter you’re playing it alone or playing it with your friends.
There are many good things about this game, but I think it would be good if the game can let the players choose 3 tracks in one go for marathon (like Dance Dance Revolution) so you don’t have to keep picking the next song each time, and of course it would be cool to do multiplayer too (I mean playing together) – not sure if Kinect can track 2 body movements at the same time, but it would be good to see. Check out one of my favorite song from Christina Milian “Dip It Low” – we do have our dance videos, it’s on my facebook with the privacy settings, so I doubt if the embed code works here.
Another great thing is, all those songs in the game made me re-listening to them back, such a classic, great times!
